Earlier this week, Schlam Stone & Dolan partners Jeffrey Eilender and Joshua Wurtzel and associates Michael Brodlieb and Paul Stretton filed suit on behalf of a prominent real-estate developer against predatory, distressed-debt fund Maverick Real Estate Partners alleging that Maverick, as junior mezz lender, intentionally conducted a commercially unreasonable foreclosure sale and stole over $20 million in equity belonging to Schlam Stone’s client.
