Paul’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, employment disputes, and professional responsibility. He litigates in federal and state courts and advises clients across a broad range of industries, including cryptocurrency, finance and real estate. Paul has experience in all phases of litigation from pre-suit investigation through discovery, trial and appeal.
Before joining Schlam Stone, Paul worked at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he represented multinational companies, individuals, and non-profit organizations in commercial litigation and regulatory and criminal enforcement matters.
Matters
- Represented both lenders and borrowers in commercial lending disputes.
- Represented secured parties in U.C.C. foreclosures of equity pledges.
- Represented both employers and employees in employment disputes involving claims of discrimination, unpaid wages, and breach of contract.
- Represented attorneys in connection with petitions for waiver of strict compliance with the admissions requirements for the New York Bar.
- Served as trial counsel in a jury trial in state court in Philadelphia on claims arising from breach of an employment agreement.
- Served on a trial team in a jury trial in the Commercial Division on claims arising from the alleged breach of a solar-development contract.
- Served on a trial team in a jury trial in federal court on claims arising from patent infringement.*
- Represented various financial institutions in government inquiries relating to allegations of money laundering and violations of securities law.*
