Schlam Stone & Dolan attorneys Hillary Zilz, Jolene LaVigne-Albert and Jessica Caterina hosted a presentation, "Navigating the Implications of the Dobbs Decision," in which they led a discussion with a group of in-house counsel on this major recent Supreme Court ruling. The presentation touched on several topics, including an assessment of the risks of criminal and civil liability faced by companies who fund abortion-related care and costs and an overview of some of the recent statutory provisions adopted by New York State that are aimed at offering immediate protection to patients, medical providers and other parties who may assist a woman in obtaining an abortion in New York. The presentation also included a discussion of some of the considerations for companies who are wrestling with the issue of whether or not to offer abortion-related care and costs to their employees.
