Wayne I. Baden
Wayne Baden is the chair of the firm’s corporate and real estate practice. He has more than 40 years of corporate law and real estate experience, including structuring investment vehicles to purchase and operate transportation businesses, financial institutions, and other businesses. He also provides counseling on matters of corporate control and advises companies and not-for-profit organizations on corporate governance and regulatory compliance issues. He is often the outside general counsel to businesses, co-ops, and condominiums. He currently represents many real estate investors in the New York metropolitan area on financial, development, and organizational matters.
In addition to creating structured investments, Wayne advises clients on M&A transactions and the sales of assets as well as on real estate acquisitions and leases.
Wayne has served on the Board of Directors of St. Louis Bank, a federally chartered savings bank in Duluth, Minnesota; as general counsel to St. Louis Bank’s holding company; and as general counsel to Treasury Bank, Ltd., a bank in Washington, D.C. He currently serves as outside general counsel to the New York Black Car Operators Injury Compensation Fund.
