Alexander Wentworth-Ping is a former federal prosecutor who represents individuals and businesses in high-stakes litigation of all kinds. His practice focuses on criminal defense and regulatory issues, employment & intellectual property disputes, complicated financial matters, defamation and First Amendment issues, and appellate advocacy. Leveraging his deep investigative background, Alex guides clients through sensitive civil and criminal investigations, strategic workplace or IP disputes, and complex state and federal trials and appeals.

Before joining the firm, Alex served for almost six years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York. During his time as a federal prosecutor, he led investigations and prosecutions into a broad array of federal crimes, including complex financial fraud, identity theft, money laundering, cybercrime, and domestic and international terrorism. He also served as a Joint Terrorism Task Force liaison prosecutor and as the Elder Justice Coordinator. He also handled several appeals to the Second Circuit.

Earlier in his career, Alex gained extensive experience handling white-collar criminal defense, securities litigation, and antitrust matters at prominent international law firms in New York City, including Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP and Allen & Overy LLP. He also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James Orenstein in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Alex received his law degree from The University of Fordham where he served as an editor of the Law Review, a member of the Moot Court team, a member of the Dispute Resolution Society, and a Stein Scholar.  He earned a B.A. from Williams College.
