Schlam Stone is pleased to announce the launch of our newest blog, The Courts and the Culture War, authored by Elizabeth Wolstein. The blog will report and comment on litigation of culture war issues in the federal and state courts. Today’s inaugural post considers a Maryland decision, now before the Fourth Circuit, in which parents challenged a public-school transgender policy. The case sets up a clash between parents' right to control the upbringing of their children and the school board's interest in accommodating transgender children whose parents are not supportive.
