Jessica R. Caterina

Jessica R. Caterina joined the firm as an associate in 2020. While at the firm, Ms. Caterina’s practice has focused primarily on civil and commercial disputes in state and federal court.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Caterina was an associate in Arnold & Porter LLP’s New York office. While there, she gained experience in complex commercial litigation, products liability litigation, and white collar matters. Ms. Caterina represented major pharmaceutical companies in defending against personal injury and Attorney General claims in state and federal courts. She counseled companies in issues arising under the False Claims Act, including coordinating internal investigations and responding to government audits and compliance matters. Ms. Caterina also advised the firm’s corporate clients in a broad range of commercial suits as well as litigation arising out complex financial transactions. Ms. Caterina has experience in all areas of pre-trial litigation and appeal. She has managed discovery, worked with experts to develop reports and testimony, and written briefs and motions at all stages of litigation.

From 2013-2014, Ms. Caterina served as a law clerk for the Honorable Theodore A. McKee of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ms. Caterina is an active member of the Entertainment Committee for both the New York City Bar Association and the American Inns of Court.

  • Representing notable real estate design and consulting company in RICO action against major real estate firm in the Southern District of New York, and assisting in a favorable settlement on the eve of trial.
  • Representing one of the nation’s largest government contractors in a Medicaid False Claims Act qui tam investigation and subsequent litigation in the Southern District of New York.
  • Representing a major New York area community hospital in a political and health care fraud investigation conducted by the United States Attorney’s office for the Eastern District of New York

Ms. Caterina graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 2011, where she was a George C. McCrillis Scholar and served as an Associate Editor of the Syracuse Law Review. While in law school, Ms. Caterina interned in the criminal division of the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District of New York. Upon graduation, Ms. Caterina was awarded Order of the Coif. Ms. Caterina earned her BA from Bennington College in 2000.
