Hannah R. Zelcer

Hannah Zelcer joined the firm as an associate on the structured finance team in 2021. Before graduating law school, Ms. Zelcer worked for a financial technology startup that specialized in alternative investments and private placements in asset classes ranging from marine finance to litigation finance. She also worked for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association in its Asset Management Group. There she focused her work on derivatives, the transition from LIBOR and regulations promulgated by the CFTC, SEC, and prudential regulators. Ms. Zelcer also worked at the New York State Department of Financial Services in its Consumer Protection and Financial Enforcement Division. There, she worked for the Assistant Deputy Superintendent of Enforcement on investigations and regulatory actions involving global financial institutions’ compliance with Dodd-Frank, BSA-AML, and tax fraud.

Ms. Zelcer received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2020, with concentrations in corporate finance and securities law. She received her B.A. from SUNY Binghamton University in 2015.

While in law school, Ms. Zelcer was an Executive Editor for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Honor Society. Ms. Zelcer competed in the 26th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria and was awarded Honorable Mention for Best Individual Oralist.
