Bennette Deacy Kramer
Bennette Deacy Kramer joined the Firm in April 1993 and became a partner in January 1996.
She is a graduate of Smith College and Brooklyn Law School, where she was first in her class and an editor of the Law Review. She was a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas C. Platt, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and was then an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, where, among other clients, she represented Pan Am in the litigation related to its Chapter 11 filing. Ms. Kramer concentrates on complex commercial litigation, and also has represented clients in connection with securities, RICO and bankruptcy litigation and appeals. She is a member of the New York Bar, as well as the Bars of a number of federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Kramer is active in bar activities. She is a director of the Federal Bar Foundation and Associate Editor of the Federal Bar Council News. She is also a Master in the Federal Bar Council American Inn of Court. Ms. Kramer is a member of the Association of the Bar of New York City, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, where she is a member of the Section on Litigation.
